Vince Zampella, Has Passed Away in a Los Angeles Vehicle Accident
The visionary game developer, who helped create the wildly popular franchise Call of Duty, has passed away in a traffic collision in California aged 55.
Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.
The influential industry figure passed away following his automobile collided and burst into flames on a highway in Los Angeles on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"We are facing an unimaginable loss, and our hearts are with Vince's loved ones, his family, and all those touched by his work," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts commented.
