Bon Clay has the ability to transform into an perfect replica of any person they’ve made contact with with their right hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and uses they/them pronouns, will depict a version of that role reinterpreted as non-binary, rather than as a drag performer, in the live-action series, differing from the original manga and animated series.

Escola will work alongside multiple recently announced actors tasked with bringing the group to life, such as head Sir Crocodile, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and a familiar face, who also joins the ensemble as the monarch of the fictional land.

Although this character is a major member of Baroque Works, the individual won’t make their debut One Piece season 3. With season 2 set to cover the Little Garden arc, this represents a significant shift in the timing of their first appearance, one that could signal additional alterations to the story’s structure.
