The Renowned Musician Calls On Backing to Send Together for Palestine Lullaby to UK Christmas No 1.

A charity drive is aiming to send a cultural melody to the top of the UK charts. The campaign seeks to provide aid to people in Gaza while also showcasing Palestinian culture and creativity.

A Chance for Support and an "Chart Upset"

Renowned figure Brian Eno, who performs on the track, stated that the song titled Lullaby represents a opportunity to support Palestinians this festive season. He acknowledged the potential for an unexpected chart success.

“That would be amazing if that occurred, yes,” he stated. “I wouldn't be completely let down if it fails to, festive releases are a category of their own.”

Powerful Theme of Dignity and Freedom

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who features in the adaptation of a cultural piece called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the piece's resilient spirit.

“The song holds a profound significance for countless listeners,” Barghouti shared. “The essence is that I would prefer a dignified death than live a life without freedom. That’s the main theme of the song; we want to live a life of dignity that we are entitled to as Palestinians.”

Recording Origins and Contributing Musicians

The single was laid down in the wake of a solidarity show held in late summer. First conceived to be performed and recorded live, the rendition was shelved during the concert due to the event running long.

The diverse array of artists appearing on Lullaby includes a group of well-known figures from the music world. All took part in the benefit event, which managed to collect a considerable total for humanitarian aid.

Creation and Launch

Lullaby was crafted by a group of producers and composers. The track features a mix of the traditional Arabic lyrics with freshly written English words.

The group managing the project have clarified that their aim is to raise as much as possible for a dedicated fund. These proceeds will be channeled to Palestinian causes through an non-profit partner.

“We haven't set a rigid aim,” a representative explained. “We will pursue the maximum achievable. Of course, the higher the total, the greater the impact. Every penny goes out to those in need in Gaza.”

The reality in the territory was described as its profound destruction, with a overwhelming percentage of buildings reportedly destroyed or damaged.

“In that context, a couple of million doesn’t make an enormous impact. But I think what does make a difference is primarily raising awareness for this issue and demonstrating the human dimension of the story.”

The song is launching on Friday. Additionally, a full recording of the benefit event will be made available for streaming on a major video platform from the 19th of December.
